The building of the National Library is designed to be symmetrical in plan and volume relative to the central entrance. It consists of 4 blocks of different storeys and separated by seismic joints – the central 9-storey arched in plan, the right and left 6-storey trapezoidal in plan and the rear 4-storey arched in plan. The size of the building along the front is about 155 m. The height is 152 m. The total area is 44478.00 sq. m. The new library will be divided into four zones: book depository, reading, administration and service, cultural activities and have separate entrances and exits, all lines of work are simple and uninterrupted. More than 700 specialists will be involved in servicing readers and users, capable of meeting the information needs of users at a new level.
