The State Institution “National Museum of Tajikistan” was founded in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated 27.07.2011, No. 1094. The total area of ​​the museum is 24,000 m2, of which 15,000 m2 is intended for exhibitions. The museum has 22 exhibition halls, which present the history of the Tajik people. The National Museum of Tajikistan has four exhibition departments for visitors: the Department of Nature; the Department of Ancient, Ancient and Medieval History; the Department of Modern and Contemporary History, as well as the Department of Applied and Fine Arts.
